What is IP in Semiconductor Design?
IP or Intellectual Property, refers to pre-designed / standardized circuitry components or blocks. These IP blocks are often complex functional units, such as processors, memory controllers, interfaces, or specialized processing units. In other words, IPs serve as essential components, akin to “puzzle pieces” , in assembling the final ‘picture’ of a chip product.
