From September 17 to 20, 2025, a business delegation from Restar Corporation – Japan’s leading corporation in semiconductor and electronic components distributors (revenue FY2024 exceeds 3.74 billion USD) – visited and worked with FPT IS, FPT Software, and FPT Semiconductor in Da Nang and Ha Noi. In Da Nang, the delegation visited the Da Nang Semiconductor & AI Center (DSAC), the FPT IS R&D Center in Da Nang City, Hope School, FPT Complex Da Nang. On September 19, at FPT Tower Hanoi, Restar Corporation and FPT Semiconductor organized a product training session and held discussions on the future development of FPT Semiconductor’s chip product lines.

The working session gathered three representatives from Restar Corporation’s Device BU Business Development & Promotion Office and three managers from the Semiconductor Device Development Division, Privatech Inc., together with technical managers from FPT Semiconductor’s Analog Mixed Signal Department, Hardware Production Department and OSAT Business Team. The objective was to gain a comprehensive understanding of FPT Semiconductor’s offerings across its three core business areas: Chip Products & Applications; Engineering Services; OSAT Services.

At the conclusion of the session, Restar proposed establishing a co-development scheme, noting that closer collaboration would enable more efficient product development and faster introduction of new chips to the market. Mr. Kazushige Sawai, Specialist, Device BU Business Development & Promotion Office, Restar Corporation, remarked: “We are very pleased to learn more about FPT Semiconductor’s products today. They are highly promising and have great potential to be introduced to Restar’s customers across Asia.”

This engagement further builds on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Restar and FPT Semiconductor on April 28, 2025, witnessed by the Prime Ministers of Vietnam and Japan. The MOU sets the foundation for strategic cooperation in semiconductor design and business development. Both sides have committed to promoting the sale of FPT’s chip products in the Asia-Pacific region, targeting 10 million FPT chips delivered over the next 3 years.
