On March 10th 2025, FPT Semiconductor had the honor of hosting Mr. Toshinobu Niino – Human Resources Group, Group Manager from KIOXIA Corporation, Japan’s leading semiconductor company. Formerly known as Toshiba Memory Corporation, KIOXIA invented the first NAND flash in 1987 and has since become a global leader in flash memory and SSD storage, pioneering 3D flash technology. Today, KIOXIA has a workforce of 15,000 employees across Japan and more than 8 countries, with annual revenue reaching 7.24 billion USD as of March 2024.

At FPT Tower, Mr. Toshinobu met with FPT Semiconductor’s CEO Nguyen Vinh Quang to discuss the current landscape of semiconductor workforce training in Vietnam. Mr. Toshinobu expressed strong support for Vietnam’s strategic goal of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers by 2030, acknowledged FPT’s ambitious roadmap in mastering the semiconductor value chain, and highlighted exciting opportunities for future collaboration with the FPT team.

The meeting between FPT Semiconductor and KIOXIA marks a significant step toward strategic cooperation, fostering Vietnam’s semiconductor workforce development and enhancing the country’s position in the global semiconductor industry. Bringing “Chip Make in Vietnam” to the world.
